Really creative idea! The current cycle is really focused on generative AI in software use cases but this is a good mind-expanding thought process!

I agree that shaving is quite annoying and it would be awesome to outsource it as you described

Thanks Leo. My hope is that this article highlights the utility of narrow AI in robotics, a field that could really use a bit of attention. At the very least, I hope this inspires some engineer out there to automate shaving, a great service to humanity! 😅

OK, two more areas where we agree:

1. Narrower AI is better in most cases, and solving "narrow" problems leads to solving all kinds of other problems, often in unexpected ways, and especially since everything is so connected now by way of language

2. Shaving is one of the worst parts of the month

Absolutely. And with regards to narrow AI in robotics, there is no better example than Tesla. It's not a car, it's basically an AI robot. But it never feels that way because it is designed simply as a utilty to help you get from point A to point B. Now that they have achieved the fully automated driving experience the possibilities for this narrow AI technology to become generalistic are massive. They can take out all sorts of industries with this technology.

Oh an yes, shaving absolutely sucks 😅

Sometimes I leave myself a moustache, just for a few minutes, so I remind myself of how creepy I can look.
